The simple anwer is, why not?! Paddle boarding can be either a great work out or a fun and relaxing activity.  Summer time in south Florida brings calm surf and clear waters.  Paddle boarding allows you to take advantage of both of these, you can get a great view of whats beneath you from on top of a board.  You can see tarpon, turtles, fish, sting rays, or the occasional nurse shark without ever getting in the water.  If you do decide to take a dip, paddle boards are also very easy to get back on.  

Paddle boarding is also great for every level!  If it's your first time, it's easy to sit on the board and paddle around.  As you get more comfortable, you can kneel on the board as well.  If you are experienced or catch on quick, go on and take a stand! 

Typical rentals require you to go to the shop and pick up a board or meet at a specific location to rent a paddle board.   That's just less time at the beach, and no one wants that!
